Point of Return Validation

  • At the retailer’s returns desk, instant access to a product’s purchase history is available through SIRAS’ Serial Number Lookup feature. The store associate is quickly provided with the information necessary to complete a returns transaction by following these simple steps:

    1.  From the POS register the associate scans the UPC number on the product being returned

    2.  The associate then scans the product’s serial number

    3.  Instantaneously, the store associate receives the disposition of the product

  • Secondary methods to validate a product’s eligibility for return are accomplished by:

    1.  Matching the serial number on the sales receipt to the serial number on the product

    2.  Dialing the SIRAS 800# to access a Voice Response Unit (VRU), which prompts the sales associate to enter specific information
