SIRAS P.I.

SIRAS P.I. (Product Information) is a portal that unites retailers and Law Enforcement in providing secure access to the SIRAS database for immediate verification to a SIRAS-tracked item’s purchase history. When inquiring on an item, SIRAS can provide detailed transaction information about that item’s lifecycle history including the retailer to where the item was shipped and where the item sold – leading to stronger cases.

SIRAS does not collect any consumer information. Only unique product history details are provided with the service. The confidentiality of SIRAS retailer and manufacturer clients is protected in that no sell-through volumes or return rate information is provided via the SIRAS P.I. portal.

The secure online database is provided at no cost to authorized law enforcement professionals and helps in determining whether products recovered in their investigations may have been stolen or purchased with fraudulent tender. Today, SIRAS P.I. is used by more than 2000 law enforcement and government agencies nationwide and has aided in the arrest and successful prosecution of many criminals, including a multi-million dollar credit card fraud ring.

Access to SIRAS P.I.

SIRAS P.I. access is limited to active law enforcement officers, investigators and detectives. Independent or corporate private investigators are not allowed access at this time.
